A large part of the music production process is, of course, writing the actual songs.
Since we do full start-to-finish music production, we offer almost every writing and composing service you may need:
>> We can start from scratch and write you a completely new song.
>> We can take a song concept or rough idea and go from there to finish your song.
>> If you have a vocal line or guitar riff already written, we can fill in the rest of the song around that.
>> We can do minor 'touch up' work on your mostly-finished existing originals -- like adding a horn part, or a synth track to fill it out.
If you'd rather work on your song with us along the way, we are more than happy to approach your project as co-writers. In fact, we actually prefer to write this way, since it allows more of the artist we are working with to come through in the music:
>> We can start from scratch via Skype, email song demos back and forth, or you can come into the studio and we can write a song together.
>> We can take an existing song concept or idea that you have, and work on it with you.
>> We can modify existing demos and help you re-write parts you aren't satisfied with.
>> If you have a great song idea in your head, but are stuck, we can offer as little or as much help as you want to coach you through the writing process, and try to get that hit you are hearing in your head onto paper.
As far as composing goes, we are able to orchestrate horn parts, tight vocal harmonies, string-section interludes, etc. Just let us know what you need.
At MRJ Studios, we have access to a handful of songwriters in-house and from all over the United States (and even all over the world) who have experience in many different genres of music. We have worked on everything from 'big label' projects, to publishing company demos; independent label (freelance) session writing, to composing music for backyard parties, and much, much more. For your project, you will have full access to ALL of our writers, and be able to choose which of them you would like to work with -- from MRJ himself, to one of our international contacts -- you decide! Plus, if we don't feel that we can help you out with your song, we will either bring someone else on board, or point you in the right direction to find someone who can help you.
