Mike Hirter
BALANCED
Mike Hirter is the lead vocalist and rhythm guitar player for Balanced. He has been playing guitar since the age of 17 and singing for as long as he can remember. Mike was born and raised in Elgin, Illinois and attended Larkin High School's Visual and Performing Arts Academy for Music, where he graduated in 2008. He is currently enrolled in college besides playing and recording with Balanced. Mike's first rock album was Kiss's Destroyer and that began his love for rock music. Now an avid Van Halen fan, Mike still enjoys Kiss and other bands such as Velvet Revolver, Paramore, Guns N' Roses and many more. As far back as the spring of 2007, Mike began appearing as a guest vocalist on demo recordings for Michael Johnson, and they ended up collaborating to write new music. Mike and Michael decided to start Balanced in the summer of 2008 and Mike has been a driving force writing lyrics and vocal parts ever since then.
